Nada Surf release album 9. They’ve been together for 25 or so years. Still got that glorious power pop going. Folk punk from Milwaukee by Brett Newski. Hell Yes. New Jason Isbell And The 400 Unit. This their follow-up to the Grammy-winning 2017 album. Mike Campbell, Tom petty’s buddy, and guitarist, has had a side project for 15 years. The Dirty Knobs finally are set to release their first album. We don’t know yet if this means a new Rolling Blackouts Coastal Fever album. We only have this is a single. We can only hope for more songs soon. Lilly Hiatt. Does she like Nashville where she lives: “I love Nashville because it kicks my ass repeatedly,” Hiatt says, “but in a beautifully warm-hearted way.” You tell me. I’m going with yes…maybe.
Mac Miller. Just imagine what else we’ll be missing. Great album. Wilsen. Album number 2 from this Brooklyn band. I hope Ezra finds more lost songs. I need/want my Black Taxi. Maple And Rye. A foursome from Sweden. US Girls. Yes, this band is from Toronto. The Strokes are back…and sounding different. And that’s ok. The Verbs are a husband wife band from nyc. The Amazons. When asked about this album of rock music…and since rock music doesn’t really chart anymore…their response was brilliant. We’re very prepared to fail.
New music discovery is important and thank you for doing your part.
Please support these bands…or we wouldn’t have bands like this around to support. Buy an album, or a ticket to a show, or a tee shirt, or…something from them. Thank you.
