Khruangbin and Leon Bridges. Mr Bridges is moving even further from the punchy R and B styling of first album. Trippy tune. Ezra Furman could be the unofficial troubadour of teen angst. He is perfect for the soundtrack of Sex Education. Good TV show. It’s been awhile since we’ve heard from Atlas Genius. Big fan of this Aussie duo. Always happy to hear something new from them. It’s been 30 odd years since we’ve gotten a new album from The Psychedelic Furs. Richard Butler has one of my all time favorite voices of rock and or roll.

Declan McKenna releases album number 2 which will come out some time in the near distance future. It’s a bit more vague. Not so straight head. Bryan Ferry releases a live album from 74? Maybe 73. And, yes, I know I could look it up. I do know it’s at the Royal Albert Hall. The Rolling Stones let Keif have a lead or 2 this one is from 1998 in Buenos Aires. Cage The Elephant featuring Iggy Pop. I don’t know why I just found out how Cage got their name but it’s quite awesome.

If you are in a hammock state of mind then this CAAMP song is perfect. Sea Wolf. First album in 6 years. A bit more intimate. Tomar And The FCs has song full of sharp-hitting horns and smooth backing vocals. They are an Austin band. Black Honey were quoted as saying they wanted to “use music to come together and unite us.” I can get behind that. If you hang out with ZZ Ward you will end in a song. Some how. This one is a bit brutal. And if you’d had your heart broken you are probably cheering her on. And surely all of us have had their hearts broken. So let’s cheer her on. On that note…Have you been in HS? Then this Eric Hutchinson song makes sense. Perfect sense. Parker Bossley wrote this album while living in a damaged Airbnb RV in East Los Angeles. Dare I say perfect. Wow I used perfect a lot. And, if you listen to NEXT, you kind sir, or lady, are perfect too. Or at least for those 55 mintues.

Thanks for listening and thanks again to Ocean 98 for putting next on the radio. And VOBB in Canada.

New music discovery is important and thank you for doing your part.

Please support these bands…or we wouldn’t have bands like this around to support. Buy an album, or a ticket to a show, or a tee shirt, or…something from them. Thank you.

Spotify playlist updates on Thursday. Link to Chris Bro on Spotify.
