It’s the last Wednesday of the month. This is the week where I review, replay, remind you of the songs that me smile in the last few weeks. Hopefully your ears smiled too. It’s tough to listen to all of NEXT so I started doing this “End of the Month” Notable songs show as a cheat. Maybe not a cheat. I mean, 4 hours out of a month – is a lot to ask. OK, not a lot, but surely you can find 1 hour in a month to listen to a few “top” songs. Even Kate Snow can find 1 hour. Maybe. It’s 1 hour. And if you listen on Spotify you can skip any song you don’t like. So it’s under an hour.

So here we are. Our notable NEXT songs of April 2019. Enjoy.

Glorious noise from: Band Of Skulls, Circa Waves, Wild Pink, Blushh, Sleeper, Eels, Meiko, Cage The Elephant, The Dunwells, Katie Priutt, Jamestown Revival, Fort Frances, Yola, Jessy Wilson, The Fame Riot

Thanks for listening and thanks again to Ocean 98 for putting next on the radio.

New music discovery is important and thank you for doing your part.

Please support these bands…or we wouldn’t have bands like this around to support. Buy an album, or a ticket to a show, or a tee shirt, or…something from them. Thank you.

If there are any bands/managers/labels etc that want their music removed (for any reason) please contact me (chris at allthingsnext dot com) and I’ll promptly remove it. Thank you, bands, for making music. Thank you for making my life better because of the music you make. I am a passionate music consumer as are my listeners. If you think NEXT streaming music is bad please think it over again. I am a music maker advocate.

Spotify playlist updates on Thursday. Link to Chris Bro on Spotify.

  • I like a lot of these bands and songs; great voices and tunes! I’m a 62 year old mother of a 23 year old about to graduate with a mechanical engineering degree but with a much greater passion and talent for music and her band. She’s was a classically trained pianist for 12 years while also playing the drums, a cello, marching band and currently she’s the drummer for a post- punk rock band called Truth Club! They’re just about to release their first album on May 3rd.
SO…I’m trying to learn about all the new indie music out there while I support her band and their journey!
Thanks for giving us a venue for new artists!
