Easygoing lope? Yes.
Serene vocal? Of course.
Good choral hook? You better believe it.
Schneider wrote, “All of the songs on the album are from the last couple of years, since right before my daughter was born up to about a year ago when we started making the record. ‘Making It Up’ is about something I’ve always thought about, which is, ‘What is the truth? Can the truth be known? Can anything be known? Does it matter?’ The big philosophical questions. I like the way it came together on this song.”
It’s another chill song. Great rhythm. It thumps a path. Easy plucked guitars. Acoustic. And electric. A warm organ. Lyrics start simple. Humbly. Then the move to something existential and grand.
Bob Schneider tour dates
I’ve seen Bob a handful of times. Acoustic. Band. I like Band better. He impresses every time. So what I’m saying is go see him. If he isn’t coming to your town…road trip. It’s worth it.
