The year was 1985. Mick Jagger and David Bowie head over to Abbey Road Studios in London. They record “Dancing in the Street”.

It’s recorded for the Live Aid charity.

They shoot the video the same day. The video is not good.

Take away? No plan and drugs not a good combo.

But the video did finally lead to this…which is quite brilliant.

It was for Live Aid. Any excuse to play this video again. Long Live Freddie.

And of course U2. This Live Aid concert was a turn around for them. U2 was big…this made them huge.


Notice there are no phones…just people rocking out.
