  • New Johnny Cash, what a treat!!! I was working at a country station in Corinth, NY in 1984 – the back end of when the songs from this newly discovered album were recorded and for the life of me I can’t imagine why they chose to shelve these songs in favor of, “The Chicken in Black,” for example, as a single instead!

That said, I also loved the Ted Leo/Aimee Mann collaboration. Can’t wait to hear the full album from The Both. The Conor Oberst tune is another favorite from the week. Others deserving a mention and more listens: Chrissie Hynde, First Aide Kit, Mac Demarco and I kinda like Cool Ghouls too, want to what else they can do.

An enjoyable listen from start to finish!

  • That opening to the Manchester Orch song sounds very familiar! I do like first aid kit, Johnny cash, kaiser and Chrissie!

  • I cannot stop laughing at the lyrics to the Johnny Cash song. Awesome! Plus Loved: Chrissie Hynde, The Bamboos, First Aid Kit and Kaiser Chiefs.
