Zap_WH_poster_150Born in a Brooklyn basement in 2009, Zap & The Naturals is led by singer-songwriter Andrew Zapanta, along with Sarah Wood (vocals/keys/percs/melodica), Alex Hayes (bass), Dan Griffith (lead guitar) and Ry Pilla (drums/percs/beatbox).

I am a big fan of great new music (as you know) but I’m also a big fan of cool people. When the two combine…well, it’s a win-win situation (and really how times in life can you say that?). I am happy to let you know about this Brooklyn-based Soul/Reggae band because they combine cool music that is being played by cool people (as I said two things I like).

Zap and the Naturals have recently opened for State Radio and G-Love & Special Sauce, and now they will be debuting their full-length album, “Half Past Three”. The evening kicks off with music from singer-songwriter Don McCloskey and live painting by Japanese artist, Hiroki Otsuka.
