The Muppets haven’t seen the big screen in 12 years. I am happy to announce that the 2011 version is pure classic Muppets. Just like I remembered. Oh and while we are chatting classic Muppets please parents buy the boxset of the Muppet Show the TV show for your children. Thank you.
This movie is a love letter to the Muppets of old. Any and all lovers of Muppets need to thank Jason Segal (And Amy Adams). Segel (and others: writers/directors/best grips etc) kept the style of this film very close to old-fashioned Muppets. There’s no CGI. It’s hand puppets all the way. Have I mentioned how this film brought back wonderful memories of the Muppets I grew up with?
Oh and not even the “We Built This City” scene ruins the movie. So get ready for a lot of celebrity guests, corny jokes and of course “the most sensational, inspirational, celebrational, Muppetational” movie you’ll see all year.
PS: Don’t forget Homeless Joe.
Oh and how cool would you be if you showed up opening night wearing these cool new kicks from Adidas
