Friday Shuffle

OK everyone it’s time for the Friday shuffle.  It’s Friday the 13th so maybe it’ll bring us some lucky songs.  You know the drill.  5,000 songs on one iPod covering every genre.  I put it on random shuffle and chaos ensues.  Here we go.

10.  Ozzy Osbourne – Goodbye To Romance – One of my favorite Ozzy songs.  Even the Ozzy has a sensitive side that pops up every now and then.

9. Deftones – Lucky You – Nice one for Friday the 13th.  I like The Deftones but I do acknowledge that the lead singer’s vocals are kinda whiny so I get that they aren’t everyone’s cup of tea.  Not their best tune.

8. Alicia Keys – No One – I think Alicia Keys is a great song writer but she kind of mailed it in here.  Not her best work.  I’m disappointed in you Alicia now go to your room and think about what you did here.

7. The Pixies – Monkey Gone To Heaven – What the 80’s should be remembered for.  Gotta love the Pixies.

6. The Ventures – Pipeline – The guitar work the Ventures do is vastly under rated.  Love this music.  Just in time for the warm weather. Surfs up!

5. Neil Young – Rockin’ In The Free World – One of the best concerts I’ve been to I think sometimes people forget how much Neil can really rock.

4. Jonathan Davis – Forsaken – Korn was one of the bands that got me through high school.  Jonathan Davis was really the whole band.  This is something off an album he did by himself.  The song is from the movie for the Ann Rice book called “Queen Of The Damned”.  Davis did the whole soundtrack for the movie.  When you know that you can totally see this in a vampire movie.

3. 311 – Love Song – Not a huge 311 guy but I think they do a nice job covering The Cure here.  I like what they did with it.

2. My Chemical Romance – Famous Last Words – Really not a fan of this band but this is a pretty good song.  I like the guitars here and the chorus is good.  It’s a shame that every other song this band has sucks something awful.

1. Van Halen – Dancing In The Street – Van Halen did some cool covers.  This isn’t one of them.

OK so today’s shuffle was mediocre at best.  Sorry I guess we weren’t that lucky.  It is Friday the 13th.  Maybe next week will be better.
