Lately Chris Bro has been posting songs that he likes.  So here’s a few songs that are clearly better than his songs.  These are songs that I like.  Enjoy!

The National – Conversation 16 – My current favorite band.  This band is just mesmerizing. Maybe it’s the deep voice but every song is a gem.  Do these guys remind anyone else of the Smiths?

Black Ghosts – Full Moon – This is off of the “Twilight” soundtrack.  I hate the fact that that movie has such a good soundtrack but it does.

The Builders and The Butchers – Golden and Green – If I had to describe this sound I guess I’d call it gothic folk.  These guys might scare a few people but I’m loving it.  I don’t know why but I can totally see this being on the soundtrack to a bad ass movie maybe during the opening or closing credits.

Interpol – Barricade – This is the new Interpol I think it comes out in the beginning of September.  Another Brooklyn band another great song.  Love these guys.

The Black Keys – Next Girl – It took me a while to get around to listening to the Black Keys and boy do I regret that.  Yes they are pretty awesome and this is my personal fave.

The Broken West – Got It Bad – Came across this song a couple of years ago.  Nice and mellow.

Death Cab For Cutie – Grapevine Fires – So you’ve had a rough day at work.  Come home grab a beer or pour yourself a glass of wine and listen to this one.  You’ll be all right.

The Raveonettes – Lust – Saw them live on a wild night with Chris Bro and Co.  But enough about that.  The concert was great Black Angels opened for them and were solid too.

Silversun Pickups – Rusted Wheel – This one’s off of their first album.  It’s a deeper track but a good one.

Delta Spirit – Streetwalker – If you actually listen to the lyrics it can be kind of depressing.  I think it’s about young children being sold into prostituion. Ouch.  Still a great song though.

OK that’s it for now.  I actually like way more songs than these but if I put down every single one it could take a while do enjoy and maybe I’ll do it again soon.
