Settle in and get ready for an epic journey. We are talking over 8 minutes here people. Like all epic songs it’s long but it seems to travel quickly. At the end of this tune it leaves you wanting more. More please. Please. I said please. Glorious lyrics and a great loping build and don’t get me started when the “claps” kick in. This song reminds me of that conversation you had a party. You know that chat that you were so in to it that you never talked/saw anyone else.

This song might just cure the world of ADD. Enjoy it all.

I am sure you know Justin Currie was lead singer of Del Amitri and if you didn’t go get some.

  • I was listening to this song over the weekend and said to Lou, this is the type of music Jakob Dylan should put out, IF he was this good. Seriously. LOVE this song and I agree, it doesn’t feel like 8 minutes. I “enjoyed it all” 🙂

So now I have to admit that the only song I knew from del Amitri was Roll to Me and sure, I loved it, and loved Currie’s voice, but never knew anything else about them. Now that you and a bunch of Nexters have talked about them so lovingly, I need to check out their library.

  • VERY Dylanesque in both voice, tempo, lyrics, writing-style, everything. I like Justin Currie’s song. Jakob Dylan could never put out music like this because he would be accused of clearly copying his dad. Jakob needs to be far different from his dad to be taken seriously.

  • Mr B!! Thank you, thank you for getting me back in touch with Justin. I had thought he was long gone, but this is sooo good! Del Amitri = one of my all time fave bands!
