We don’t need no stinking remakes. The Karate Kid has been remade. Why? Well this isn’t about Hollywood running out of ideas but rather the point is that if you have a hankering for some Karate Kid there are better options. Full disclosure I haven’t seen the remake. I am sure it’s bad though and yes I used hankering in this post.
First off let’s start with the latest from Ralph Macchio. In his new movie (for Funny or Die), Ralph Macchio faces his toughest challenge yet; to become a Hollywood bad boy. With Karate Kid returning to the big screen, his career fading his friends and family are forced to stage an intervention. In order to re-establish himself in the entertainment industry he hits the streets of Los Angeles to show everyone how tough he can be. There are a few bad words.
Now that your appetite has been whetted let’s hit a lovely Karate Kid inspired song. I will apologize now for this song will get stuck in your head for awhile. My favorite part. Well there are many. Is it the surprise ending? No. Is it the principal from Saved by the Bell? No. It’s “Johnny and Cobra Kai” in the RV quoting line for line the movie. Classic. Enjoy “Sweep the Leg” by No More Kings
OK maybe real life is more your speed. How about the time that I was waiting in line for the potty at the Vanity Fair after party for White House correspondents dinner with Elisabeth Shue? We were both very happy and I am sure I was clever. Maybe.
Also this isn’t Coach but I using Coach Corner to post something non-music. I hope you don’t mind Coach.
Enjoy it all
