Some great tracks here, Chris. Love the Danger Mouse, National, and Vampire Weekend cover (such a great song……I might like the original a little better). I’m partial to the On Melancholy Beach single on the Gorillaz album, which is an interesting album but isn’t my favorite.

    Good stuff. Thanks again.

  2. Chris — I heard “There Goes My Love” by The Blue Van on a TV commercial yesterday. I think somebody on Madison Avenue is listening to Next!

I’ll be the oddball and vote for Dr. Dog this week. The tune has a certain insanely loose feel that I like, almost like a Flaming Lips song.

Love the odd ball tunes. It does have that 60s drug crazed feel to it. I love that song

You don’t have to like Dr. Dog just because I do doc and rock, and that’s the point of NEXT. There’s usually something for everyone.

It’s fun for the whole family, even if your family is a tad dysfunctional!

and don’t forget about his under appreciated former band del Amitri too. Loved those guys.

Dr Dog is my favorite this week, really quality band right there and the album is strong all the way through.

All this Julian Casablancas music coming out is good, but it is making me jones for a proper Strokes record.

Gorillaz are an aquired taste, especially on this album, but I really like the risks Albarn takes.
