Week 195 01.20.10

Enjoy week 195 then vote for your favorite song. NEXT is trying something new for 2010 (I really hope you are reading that as 20-10). I am doing a “Best of the Month” and the song with the most votes is guaranteed a spot. So listen, vote then listen on the last Wednesday of the month. I increased the bitrate too. Let me know if you notice a difference.

Hey Chris, have you heard of a guy called Jay Banerjee? I first saw him when he played the Mercury Lounge in NYC a couple months back and I just caught him again last weekend. Really nice energetic songs with a Beatles/Byrds vibe. It was cool to see a kid (25, maybe??) doing that sort of thing. Anyway I talked to him after the set and it turns out he’s from Westchester so maybe you should play him. He gave me a copy of his EP and I’m sure if you got in touch with him on Myspace or something he would send you a freebie too. Just Google the name and its the 1st result. Tell him George in the Cream shirt hipped you to him!

Hey Mark. Thanks. On Facebook I got quite a few listeners feeling the same way about the show too. Seems like a keeper and yes Got No Soul does rock. I actually found myself humming that tune today. That is a good sign right?
